• Review of "Cabins USA" at Pigeon Forge

  We stayed in “Amazing View” and had nothing but problems. As soon as we arrived we checked out the hot tub which was the main thing that we wanted. The hot tub was only about half way full and the water was cold. When we called to have someone come look at it they sent housekeeping to just fill the hot tub. We called again and told them that the water was cold and they finally sent a maintenance guy but did not have the part to fix it. They said they would send a vendor the next day with the part to fix it and again sent housekeeping to drain and refill the hot tub. Never got the hot tub fixed before we left so this put a huge damper on things. They even told us there was a previous work order to fix the hot tub from the group that stayed here before us so they knew it was broken but failed to mention it when we called to book the cabin. The hot tub was out main issue but we also ran into some other issues. The fireplace did not work properly, the drains in the bath tubs took forever to drain, recliner was broken and to top it all off, right in the middle of cooking hot dogs and burgers, our grill ran out of propane. WiFi didn’t work at first but was fixed. Overall, we had a terrible experience when we stayed here. Pretty much we stayed here to have a place to lay our heads at night. Also, in the pictures, this cabin looks amazing but when we arrived we were not impressed. I’m not one to complain usually but when I’m paying high dollar for a cabin and a getaway vacation, I expect what is advertised and if something isn’t right I expect it to be fixed.

• Review of "Bear Necessities Cabin" at Pigeon Forge

  Don't let the name fool you, bear necessity it is not. It has all the luxuries of home. This is a entertainment house. If your a electronics geek you will love this cabin. Key code entry (you can't loose a key!) Surround sound home theater, 3D tv, PS3, computer with printer/scanner, wi-if, game room with stand up video game, pool table, fooz ball. Hammock, hot tub, Fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, dishes, silverware, microwave, range, fridge with ice maker, washer/drier combo, even a blender! and Clean! If I had to complain about anything the only things are the land line phone wasn't operational ( who cares we have 4 mobile phones with plenty of reception). It took me a couple of seconds to find out how to get water to the shower head ( pull the faucet nozzle down). I believe if our vacation gets rained out I will still enjoy it.

  This insurance company has been in the community for over 20 years. They are a great group of people. I have had my insurance with them for about 10 years. They will find you the best rate possible. I have never had an issue with them. I highly suggest using them!

• Review of "Atop Ole Smoky Cabin Rentals" at Pigeon Forge

  My spouse and I stayed at the Valley View rental with our son at the end of July 2016. We rented the house for a week through Atop Ole Smoky Cabin Rentals. We have stayed in many vacation rentals in the past (through other companies), and we have never had the poor experience like we had at Valley View with Atop Ole Smoky. Here are the pros and cons: Cons: - The mountain view shown in their online photos is outdated. The trees have grown high, and you cannot see anything beyond them. There is NO mountain view as depicted on their website. - There are two bathrooms in the home, but there is only one shower. This is not mentioned on the Atop Ole Smoky website. The home is advertised as having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The second bathroom has a jetted tub and toilet, but everyone in the house must share the shower in the first bathroom. - The road and driveway leading up to the house is very complicated and steep. You must do multi-point turns on the edge of a long drop off just to get out of the driveway. We also had to drive past the road where the house is located and do a turnaround in order to get up to the driveway because the turn is so sharp. (We did this based on the recommendation of the security employee at the resort entrance.) I also had to put my 2015 F-150 truck in overdrive to safely get up the steeply curved driveway. - When we arrived there were many branches and vines hanging low over the driveway, and they scratched my truck. I reported this right away on our first morning in the house, and Tina said it would be corrected that day. We returned to the house that evening, and the branches had not been trimmed. I contacted Tina again to let her know, and it was done the following day. My truck was scraped on the roof and sides by branches for two days. - The metal canopy over the bed in the second bedroom creaks all night long. If you make the slightest move while sleeping, it wakes you up with the loud creaking noise. - The deck (which is highly elevated off the ground) appears to be buckling under the heavy weight of the hot tub. We did not feel safe getting in the hot tub because the old wood deck does not look strong enough to hold the weight for much longer. The support posts that were added to the deck under the hot tub are not secured to the ground at all. The support posts were able to swing back and forth rather than holding strong in place since they are not secured at the bottom or buried into the ground. - The wi-fi was slow and we were frequently unable to access websites because it would take too long to download based on the extremely slow internet speed. - The community pool had a milky color to it rather than a clear blue. We could not even see our feet at the bottom of the pool. Pros: - The security employees at the gate are friendly. - This rental is pet friendly. Atop Ole Smoky did offer to refund us some of our money (minus the cleaning fee) if we wanted to leave early because we were so displeased with this rental. However, we were unable to find another pet friendly rental in the area at the last minute during the peak season so we had to stay. Nothing else was offered to us. We decided not to pursue the issues beyond the second day of our week-long trip because we didn’t want spend our entire vacation worrying about the poor service and false advertising from Atop Ole Smoky rentals.
